The equipment drives three types of portable electric motors: Micromotor, Shaver, and Minishaver. The motors are designed for attaching handpieces such as drills and micro-saws (Micromotor) or micro-debridement cannulas (Shaver and Minishaver). • The drill handpiece uses rotary tools for drilling and thinning bone. • The micro-saw handpiece uses micro-saws for bone cuts. • Rotary cannulas are used for micro-debridement of soft tissue, cartilage and bone.
