The set of instruments for endoscopic spinal surgery consists of a complete set of permanent materials for performing endoscopic spinal surgical procedures. It has methods of preserving the nucleus and significantly reducing pain by reducing the height of the disc space. This procedure is indicated for cases of disc protrusion or extrusion with nerve root compression in any region of the disc (central, posterolateral, foraminal, extraforaminal and migratory).
The different sizes of instruments allow independent access to the patient’s fat panniculus. Full video endoscopic surgery has changed spinal surgery by proving to be a less traumatic method, with minimal morbidity and similar clinical results compared to conventional techniques. The surgeon uses fluoroscopy as a guide to position the cannula in the appropriate place through which an endoscope with a working channel will pass. In this way, there will be minimal damage to local tissues, especially the muscles. Using special instruments for this technique, the surgeon removes parts of the damaged disc, as well as herniated fragments, decompressing the nerve and relieving pressure on the nerve and inside the disc.
All the instruments are carefully removed and the muscles returned to their place. Many patients experience immediate symptom relief immediately after the procedure.
